Pretentious moi? Love that joke
I've always been an artist. However I have turned my attention to writing recently. What's sad is I know my books are okay. I've edited them around 60 times each seriously probably more, and yet I would love someone to say "Hey Suzy your books are great. Considering you have no formal training you have no spelling mistakes and you're grammar is pretty okay. If you can do that you can do anything. We'll give you a go and have a read." I had a few emails off big agencies telling me things like you are an interesting writer and a very interesting person. I want a contract, I want an advance and if that fails I want to sell hundreds of thousands on Amazon. Make me rich. They already are. So here's a little about my art and me, and then I'll be starting my blog for the first time ever and I will talk about my books and the kinky one I'm now working on. For my foundation I built a robot jacket out of an old video and some weird and wonderful things from skips and charity shops. I passed with merits and loved doing it. A tutor told me I was way ahead of my time this was 1989. Anyway being creative helps with writing and my life has been rather unconventional. I love to hear about other people's lives though, in my first attempt at a novel is A Tale of One City, the title of course it's a play on a Tale of Two Cities, I would never profess to think I had anything in common with one our most influential writers of social history and an amazing book too with it's rich cast of characters. So this site is ABOUT my first novel, my novellas my paintings and sculptures, and this site is a showcase. I already have a site called www.artandstuff.weebly.com. That's a showcase for my artwork and is horribly out of date, when I do stuff for people I often forget to take a photo or two and then I have no record of it, it's so lazy and I'm totally to blame. Writing has now played a big part of my life for the first time, over the last few years, it's always been art or being an analyst which I enjoyed. I ran four computer suites in total and every one was different and fun. All these experiences add to your knowledge and build up so much for you to put in books. I have toured France following the Stranglers for 19 pence. Long we never had to pay for a gig there were always tickets for us, as we got to meet them in Liverpool went to Manchester then Birmingham London and then France. Good fun, I often go on about this I've met so many of my punk and alternative heroes because the pathetic celebrity rubbish we're subjected to was nothing like it. Sure some of them had big heads, Hugh Cornwell was pretentious and mean, one of my best mates is Nigel from Half man Half biscuit and if you've not heard of them look them up. So a brief dip into the past and one of the ways of getting to know what makes me tick, and now I'M INTERESTED IN HEARING ABOUT YOU!
